As part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav (AKAM) celebrations, Embassy organised 153rd Birth Anniversary celebrations of Mahatma Gandhi (Gandhi Jayanti) in the Chancery on 2nd October, 2022.

Shri N.Venkataraman, Charge d'Affaires addressed the gathering on the ideals of Mahatma Gandhi. Officials of the Mission, local Congolese and members of Indian diaspora attended the event. A small documentary on the life of Mahatma Gandhi was screened on this occasion. Children of Indian diaspora presented a cultural programme, enacted the Dandi march and also partcipated in the quiz programme on the life of Mahatma Gandhi.
